Leagues

Monday Night Men’s League

Every Monday night from 4:00pm – 6:30pm the golf course hosts a men’s league. The night is organized informally as the men show up in foursomes, or simply come to the course and find playing partners on the first tee. The beer cart is always out and dinner is ready and waiting in the clubhouse when the round is complete. The league offers recreational golf as well as the chance to compete, for those with a more competitive streak. Each year singles match play and 4-man match play competitions are organized. Participation is optional. The championship is played on a Sunday in August. Here, members of the league who have played at least eight rounds are eligible to participate. All players compete within their own flights for their chance to win. Prizes are awarded at the final wrap-up banquet at the end of the season.

Tuesday Morning Ladies League

Every Tuesday morning from 8:30am – 10:30am the course is reserved for the Tuesday Morning Ladies League. For those who desire, a tasty lunch is served specially for those in the league, the menu changing on a weekly basis. This league, spearheaded by it’s very active executive, has a long-standing tradition of sociability. Special events are planned throughout the summer including “Red and White” Day to celebrate Canada’s birthday, and the ever popular Men’s League Invitational, a reciprocal event in which the members of the Thursday Morning Men’s League are invited to play with the women. Several reciprocal invitationals with ladies’ leagues from neighbouring courses are arranged throughout the summer for those who are interested in exploring new courses. The season culminates with a final wrap-up banquet in September.

Wednesday Night Ladies League

For those women with family and work commitments, the Wednesday Night Ladies League is the perfect choice. The tee is reserved for the league between 4pm and 6:30pm on Wednesday nights offering players the flexibility to reserve the tee time that works for them. A delicious meal, the menu for which changes on a weekly basis, is ready and waiting following the round for those who desire. A match play competition is available for the women who wish to participate. A wrap-up banquet is held at the end of the season.

Thursday Morning Senior Men’s League

Every Thursday morning the course is reserved for the Senior Men’s League from 8:30am – 10:30am. The committee arranges the foursomes and starting times weekly, with special consideration for those who need carts. For those who desire it a simple lunch of soup and dessert is provided following the round.
A match play competition is available for the men who wish to participate. As well a number of social tournaments are arranged throughout the season, including a common favourite: the Ladies League Invitational, a reciprocal event in which the members of the Tuesday Morning Ladies League are invited to play with the men. A wrap-up banquet is held at the end of the season.

Tuesday Afternoon Junior League

Every Tuesday starting at 4:30pm Juniors between the ages of 6 and 16 can play and develop an appreciation for the rules and etiquette of the game. Special events include Bring-a-Friend, Family Day, and a Skills Competition. This league wraps up in mid-August with a closing BBQ.

Map Full

map
first-hole
1st Hole - Par 5From the first tee the fairway lies ahead and though its great expanse of manicured grass beckons invitingly the green remains yet unseen.

At about 200 yards the hole doglegs sharply to the right to reveal the green nestled at the bottom of a slight valley.

Beware! The temptation to take a short-cut over the dogleg can easily get one into trouble.

second-hole

2nd Hole - Par 4

The 2nd hole is particularly intriguing, a 386 yard, par four, uphill dogleg right.

The creek crosses the fairway just 80 yards from the tee and a sand trap awaits errant shots at the corner of the dogleg, about 220 yards out.

High trees discourage cutting the corner.

third-hole

3rd Hole - Par 3

This straight par three provides a brief respite yet is not entirely free of obstacles.

The green sits nestled between a large pond, a grass bunker on the left and 2 bunkers on the right.

fourth-hole

4th Hole - Par 4

A well placed tee shot can make this an easy hole.

Play it safe by keeping short of the creek or trust your yardage and be aggressive to play it over the creek.

fifth-hole

5th Hole - Par 4

Once again the creek intersects the fairway and creates a challenging hazard.

The tee shot should be straight, long and short of the creek.

The second shot is slightly uphill to the green.

sixth-hole

6th Hole - Par 3

The 6th hole is an uphill par 3 framed by grass bunkers and 2 sand bunkers and out-of-bounds behind the green.

A word of caution, add some extra yardage for the elevation change, the approach is deceptively steep.

seventh-hole

7th Hole - Par 3

The most challenging hole, as well as the most scenic, is the 7th.

Off the tee you need a 170 yard shot to clear the creek on this 378 yard par four.

The entire tree-lined hole plays uphill with an out-of-bounds running the length of the right side.

eighth-hole

8th Hole - Par 3

Shots favouring the left side are rewarded with a clear shot to the green on this par four.

eighth-hole

9th Hole - Par 3

The clubhouse beckons but first the second and final par five must be mastered.

Two long, straight shots down the centre of the fairway should put you within easy range of the green.

ARIAL

Course Aerial View- 2008

The clubhouse beckons but first the second and final par five must be mastered.

Two long, straight shots down the centre of the fairway should put you within easy rangeof the green.
